OUR ANIMAL OSCARS 2019!

We love everything to do with animals here at The Insurance Emporium, including watching them on the big screen! It’s the time of year again when the brightest stars of Hollywood get prepared by writing their acceptance speeches. Cats, dogs and horses, however, can’t win an Academy Award, which is why we’re rolling out the red carpet for our own animal Oscars!

Orangey as Cat

Known best for his role as Cat in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Orangey in fact had a long career as an on-screen feline during the 50s and 60s. Despite being cute, he had a reputation for being difficult – often biting and scratching his human co-stars!

Uno as Fang

Appearing as Fang in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Uno received a ‘Pawscar’ award by the American Humane Association for her work! Her trainers suspected she was mistreated by previous owners, and she had to overcome a lot of nervousness in taking on the role.

 Popcorn Deelites as Seabiscuit

This horse was the star of the movie of the same name; a picture nominated for seven Oscars! One of six horses to play the role, he’s considered the most popular, and we think it’s about time he was officially recognised!

Blofeld’s Cat

Whilst not played by a singular feline actor, we felt that James Bond bad guy Blofeld’s Persian cat is so iconic that it needed recognition! Influencing parodies throughout the decades, this unnamed lap-cat has become the symbol of international villainy!

Uggie as The Dog

His show-stealing performance in The Artist definitely deserved an accolade! Despite the ‘Consider Uggie’ campaign failing to bag him an Oscar, he did receive the Palm Dog Award at the Cannes film festival!

So there we have it; our ultimate round-up of fluffy film stars who deserved their time in the spotlight! We all know how important our animals are, and what a crucial role they play in our families. We want you to focus on enjoying your adventures with your precious pets and horses, and our Pet Insurance and Horse Insurance products are designed for that very purpose. At The Insurance Emporium, you can even receive up to 30% discount* when taking out a policy. Head to The Insurance Emporium to find out more!
