NEW PRODUCTS FROM NIKON WORTH FOCUSING ON THIS YEAR

The arrival of spring means that nature is coming back to life and there are many magical sights to be seen. Whether you love shooting an outdoors adventure or you’re all about sports photography, there are a whole host of new equipment options available for photographers. At The Insurance Emporium, we want to help you get kitted out for your passion in 2018. There are a whole host of brilliant camera brands out there and we wish that we could show you all of their new products but there just isn’t the time! In this blog we’ve ‘focused’ on some of the ‘flash’ new products from Nikon that could be hot this year!

D850 DSLR

Okay, so the Nikon D850 DSLR camera was initially announced at the back end of last year but remains just as important in 2018. This camera was designed as the follow up to the D810 camera and has already been highly rated by many enthusiasts. As well as its high resolution and fast speed, it also packs in a whole load of innovative features. The tilting LCD touchscreen, silent shooter and battery that lasts up to 1,840 shots mean that it could be the ideal camera for a wedding or wildlife photographer!

AF-S NIKKOR 180-400mm F/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR Super Telephoto Zoom Lens

As well as potentially breaking world records for the length of a product name, this new release is designed to change the telephoto lens game! It’s a professional level lens which could be ideal for shooting sports or nature photography thanks to it being optimized for high-speed capture. It may be listed as professional level but it could be ideal for photographing local sports games or wildlife from a distance. Its high price tag does mean that it could be one for serious enthusiasts!

SnapBridge 2.0

Late in 2017, Nikon announced that they were planning the release of the latest version of their SnapBridge app. For those who want to get their photos onto social media as soon as possible, the SnapBridge app enables quick connection between your camera and smart device. The new version has seen big changes in the screen design and structure of menus, all with the aim to make it more user friendly. Also, you can now register up to five cameras with the app, making it simpler to switch if you own multiple Nikon cameras.

D760 (D750 upgrade)

This one hasn’t been confirmed yet, in truth 2018 has been a quiet year so far for Nikon but the rumour mill is working overdrive on this. It’s expected that we could see Nikon upgrade their D750 offering in the coming months. This full-frame camera is renowned for being a relative inexpensive option. The Tilting touchscreen that we saw on the D850 is expected to make an appearance on this new model as well as the option for 4K video recording. It might just be a rumour at this stage but there seems to be no smoke without fire!

Whatever your level of photography is, from amateur to professional, there could be a whole host of magical shots to be captured this spring. Getting some new equipment to take on your adventures could be an exciting and game-changing addition to your snap-happy escapades!
