SUPER SPRING DESTINATIONS YOU NEED TO VISIT

While many might be planning out their summer holidays, why not get in there early, beat the crowds, and have a springtime getaway? It may be April already but it’s not too late for a last-minute trip! At The Insurance Emporium, we love to inspire some travel adventures. That’s why we’ve put together this list of destinations that are excellent to visit in spring.

Barcelona

Wander the intricate Sagrada Família, paddle in crystal-clear water on the beach and explore the pretty Park Güell while taking in city views of Barcelona. The climate is comfortably warm at this time of year, with temperatures ranging in the 20s. Music lovers might even be tempted by the Primavera Sound Festival from 30th May to 3rd June!

Lombardy

One of the things that makes this region of Northern Italy such an appealing holiday destination is that it offers easy access to the Italian Lakes, including Lake Maggiore, Lake Como and Lake Garda. Walk through the lush gardens on the lakesides and visit villages on the mountain slopes. When you’re not exploring the lakes, why not take a day trip to Milan too?

Malta

Temperatures in Malta hang around the 20s during the spring months, which is ideal for days on the beaches and taking a dip in the Mediterranean Sea. Inland, you can visit such sights as the architecturally stunning walled city of Mdina or the elegant capital of Valletta. You could also hike in the countryside and admire Malta’s nature in bloom.

Algarve

Late spring is an excellent time to relax on the beach in the Algarve, when you can expect clear blue skies and temperatures up in the 20s. You might also be able to book a trip to go dolphin watching! When you’re not by the sea, you could go hiking in the countryside or explore one of the fish markets. Plus, if you like golf, you might like to try out one of the region’s courses!

Paris

The French capital is particularly beautiful in spring. As the weather gets warmer, it’s a great time to enjoy some al fresco dining in Paris’s many restaurants and cafés. With the flowers in bloom, why not stroll through parks like Tuileries Garden and Luxembourg Gardens? If you’re around on 19th May, you could also take advantage of the free admission and late opening times of some of the city’s museums on Nuit Européenne Des Musées!

Spring is a great time for a getaway to one of these European destinations. If you are thinking about booking a last-minute holiday then having travel insurance could be useful for peace of mind.
