5 TYPES OF UNI HOUSEMATES YOU’LL MEET

Going to university is a real adventure, and the beginning of an exciting chapter of your life! You’ll be introduced to a whole new cast of characters from all walks of life. Here are just a few of the people you’re bound to run into in your first year!

The House Parent

Usually a more mature student, the house mum or dad does what any good parent should. They’ll tidy the house, offer to cook and give you a shoulder to cry on when you need it most.

The Social Butterfly

Between housemates, course-mates, societies and sports teams, you wonder how they keep up with all of their social circles, let alone their uni work!

The Mouse

Sometimes referred to as the ghost, the mouse barely makes a noise and nobody ever sees them. You’ll only ever notice occasional signs of life – food in the fridge or the sound of a door shutting in the night.

The Couple

Fresh romance has bloomed and these two young lovers have become practically inseparable! You’ll never see one without the other and they’re bound to have some sort of drama on a night out.

The Procrastinator

Got an essay due at 12pm Friday? It’s 2am Friday? Plenty of time! The procrastinator usually develops the body clock of an owl, and somehow seems to do well no matter how rushed an assignment seems!
