WHO’S IN? THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO THE ROYAL WEDDING GUEST LIST!

With the birth of a new prince and a big wedding just around the corner, 2018 is already shaping up to be a fantastic year for the royal family! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle walk down the aisle to tie the knot this weekend. However, there is one big question that has got the rumour mill working overload, who will be on the guest list? At The Insurance Emporium, we can’t wait for the royal wedding so we’ve put together this guide on some of the likely guests!

The Queen and Prince Philip

Let’s face it, you’ve got to invite Granny and Grandpa to your wedding, especially when they’re two of the most famous faces in the world! The Queen will host a lunchtime reception at St. George’s Hall and, health permitting, Prince Philip should be by her side!

Prince Charles and Camilla

It goes without saying that Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will be in attendance! The groom’s father and our future King will host an evening party at Frogmore House with 200 hundred close family and friends.

Doria Ragland

Jetting in all the way from Los Angeles is Doria, Meghan’s mother. She’s set to ride with her daughter to the ceremony in the wedding car and there are rumours that she might even walk her down the aisle!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

William will take on the role of best man for his brother’s nuptials. We will also see Prince George and Princess Charlotte as page boy and bridesmaid. However, Prince Louis is likely to sit this one out! Meaning, it could be chance for the new mother Kate to let her hair down!

Princess Diana’s siblings

The late Princess Diana’s three siblings will all be attending the wedding. Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Lady Jane Fellowes and Earl Charles Spencer will be there to represent Diana’s side of the family. Lady Jane will also be giving a reading.

Serena Williams

There is a big ‘if’ hanging over this one. Serena is known to be good friends with Meghan and will hope to make the wedding, however it falls in the middle of the French Open, which is due to be Serena’s first tennis competition since giving birth last year. It’ll be ‘smashing’ if she does make it, though!

The cast of ‘Suits’

The cast of the show that first made Meghan a household name are expected to get ‘suited’ and booted for the wedding. Patrick J. Adams, who played Meghan’s onscreen love interest, has already tweeted his congratulations!

The Spice Girls

In a recent television interview, Mel B suggested that one of Britain’s most famous girl bands would be adding some ‘spice’ to the day. The rest of the group have been rather more coy about it, so it remains to be seen! We’re sure they ‘wannabe’ there though!

Sir Elton John

Sir Elton’s friendship with Harry’s mother was no secret and the fact that he’s rescheduled two dates on the weekend of the royal wedding is adding fuel to this rumour! If he does make it hopefully he’ll be saying ‘I’m still standing’ at the end of the night!

2,640 members of the public

True to the ‘down-to-earth’ nature of Prince Harry, they haven’t forgotten about the little guys! There will be attendees from all over Britain invited, including some from charities, residents of Windsor and from local schools.

Although we probably won’t know the exact guest list for the wedding until the day, some of these names are looking increasingly likely to make the cut for one of the biggest royal events of 2018. If you’re also tying the knot this year, you might want to think about insurance for your wedding.
